Do you know how I failed to buy a wife from Russia?

This story happened with me in a year of millennium, when the world was happy to meet an Aquarian Age. I was successful in business single middle-age man… and I was sick and tired of all those stag parties, football matches and women for one night. What I wanted was a comfort. I wished to be met at home with hot dinner and hot woman every night. And I started looking for a beautiful, reliable and calm woman for marriage. Besides she should be a good cook, as I’m rather spoilt by delicious French kitchen I must admit (I’ve got a very good French restaurant beside my office), and compliant as I could hardly stand for scandals at home. So I understood there is nobody to look for in USA.

When I tried to ask old married friends to meet me with such a woman they laughed: “You have so many demands! It should be a servant but not a wife! Or you have another solution – buy a robo-housemaid!” So I started looking for “a servant” of my own. You can ask where they can be found nowadays. My answer was buying a wife from Russia, Philippines or Vietnam. It seemed a good idea that time. They would be calm, compliant and beautiful. Besides I with my money would be a God for them after their Wild East. The Eastern Beauty appeared to be not mine. They are nice, but all have the same face. I doubted I could recognize my future wife in our wedding among her relatives. So it’s easy to understand why I decided to purchase a wife from Russia.

The Russian girls impressed me awfully. They all were extremely different, but very beautiful. Finally I stopped at 3 of them. After a short “letter period” I had my holiday and flew to Moscow to meet my future Russian wives. Buy or not buy – that was a question I had to answer about each of them.

My first surprise met me in Airport. Gosh!!!!! Where are the deep woods with bears? Where are poor villages and beggars waiting for me? Guys, Moscow is an unbelievable mix of Russian traditions, history and modern technologies! And it is a very expensive modern city! I felt poor student there! Thanks goodness my Russian wife to buy lived in Rostov-on-Don, but not in Moscow.

When I reached Rostov-on-Don I felt much better. This town is twice less than Moscow, and twice cheaper. That fact relaxed me. But I was relaxed until I got acquainted to my Russian wife only. I was expected to see tender, diligent and beautiful but stupid girl. Who met me in Rostov-on-Don instead? She turned out to be not only beautiful, but extremely smart and educated. But I didn’t notice that at my first days with her. I was intended to buy a wife from Russian and I was trying to buy her.

When we married and came to Canada for living I finally realized what a Diamond I found. She managed to do everything about the house (My apartment had never been so tidy and comfortable before). She pampered me every day with new cook. And believe me she didn’t buy it from Restaurant. And she was always extremely beautiful – at home, at work, in the kitchen and even at night she was my Mrs Universe!

In addition, she appeared to have 2 Master Degrees (Philology and Economics) – so she came to my business soon as an equal partner and improved it. First I was trying to keep her at home only. But the girl is not a Russian girl if you can stop her. Russian wife is always the main book-keeper and economist of the family. So I didn’t notice even when she started managing all family money. Now I see it, but I don’t mind. I know for sure she is married once and forever and she will do her best to keep our family wealth. I’m a lucky guy, I see it!

The only thing I will never tell her, is how I “bought her”. Never think of Russian Ladies like of slaves to buy. They are the Queens!!!! And if you managed to win a Russian girl, she is not your property but your most precocious prize and you have to appreciate God for her!

My dear wife translated one Russian poem for me once; I want to tell it to you. These words are exactly about Russian Wives!

There are women in Russian Villages
Whose faces are calm,
Whose movements are strong and imperial,
Whose looks are regal,
Who walk like Queens,
If you don’t notice them – you are blind!
The man with eyes always says about them:
The Sun shines brighter when she is near,
You feel like a King when she looks at you!

These words are not rhymed, as it is just a Translation, but they are extremely truthful.
